PAGE TWENTY-TWO (Five Panels)

Panel 1. Close on NICK, who is aghast, as he instantly recognizes the Quantum, and realizes that STOLTZ may hold the answers to NICK’S newfound powers.

Panel 2. Wide Shot. NICK is still hiding behind the wall listening to the interrogation. The Nazi chief steps away from STOLTZ with pleasure, taunting him further. STOLTZ is in really rough shape at this point.

NICK (thought): WAIT–THAT’S–

NICK (thought): –IN MY DREAM, RIGHT? I MEAN, THE LAB COAT’S FAMILIAR…

NICK (thought): …AND, THERE’S NO MISTAKING THAT STONE.

Panel 3. Zoom in. The Nazi chief has gotten back in STOLTZ’S face, threatening him with the butt of the pistol.

SOLDIER #4: SIE HABEN BERLIN ZERSTÖRT, STOLTZ.

SOLDIER #4: JETZT ZERSTÖRE–

Panel 4. Same Angle. The Nazi chief smacks STOLTZ across the face hard with the but of the pistol.

SOLDIER #4 (burst): –ICH SIE!!

Panel 5. Back to NICK, who is getting more and more agitated watching the Nazis flog STOLTZ.

NICK (thought): GREAT. WHAT NOW?

NICK (thought): THAT GUY MAY BE MY ONLY TICKET TO GETTING OUT OF HERE IN ONE PIECE.
