PAGE FIVE (Six Panels). Page Summary: Despite NICK’S efforts (gun jams or something), the duo begins losing the fight. NICK and STOLTZ teleport from the horde of Nazis. This is the first use of NICK/STOLTZ’S powers in combination, and we establish mild telepathy between the two. We also learn that a two-man teleport is very painful.

Panel 1. Zoom in. NICK and a wounded STOLTZ continue to attempt escape as the growing numbers of Nazis begin to overtake them.

STOLTZ: VAS–?

NICK: ‘SOKAY, POPS, LIKE I SAID…

NICK: I GOTCHER BACK.

Panel 2. Medium Shot. NICK initiates a series of teleportation and fighting maneuvers (two instances) vanishing one instance, striking soldiers with the butt of the Uzi the next (see Byrne/X-men Nightcrawler, and think the beginning of X2).

NICK: A LITTLE PRESTO–

SFX (NICK teleporting):vvvVVVIPP!!

SFX (NICK hitting a Nazi low):PAK!

NICK: –CHANGE-O…

NICK: …NOW YOU SEE ME…

SFX (NICK teleporting):vvvVVVIPP!!

SFX (NICK hitting another Nazi high):PAF!

NICK: …NOW YOU–

Panel 3. Close shot. A Nazi soldier gets the drop on NICK, punching him in the face.

SFX (NICK getting hit):KKRUNCH!

NICK: WHOULF!

Panel 4. Zoom out a bit. NICK is down from the punch, STOLTZ looks on as the troop of Nazis over takes them.

NICK: OH SHIT.

Panel 5. Wide Shot. As the surrounding horde of Nazis closes in, STOLTZ suddenly leaps, reaching towards NICK.

STOLTZ: WAIT! WAIT!

STOLTZ: TAKE MY HAND!

NICK: WHAT–

Panel 6. Another Angle. NICK and STOLTZ, hands joined, begin to disappear.

STOTLZ (telepathic): NOW!

NICK: OH!

SFX (Both teleport): vvvvVVVIIPP!!
