PAGE FOURTEEN (Five Panels). Page Summary: NICK and STOLTZ decide, despite the pain, to experiment with a combined Time-Jump. NICK teleports with STOLTZ using him as a “cosmic compass.”

Panel 1. Closer on NICK, who declines to participate.

NICK: …WHAT GIVES YOU THE IDEA I’M EITHER INTERESTED OR WILLING TO HELP YOU? I DIDN’T EVEN WANT TO COME HERE!

NICK: CHRIST, LISTEN TO ME.

NICK: I’M SORRY. NO WAY.

Panel 2. Medium shot of both. STOLTZ, miffed, sarcastically proposes the alternatives..

STOLTZ: FINE.

STOLTZ: WE’LL STAY HERE THEN.

Panel 3. Closer. STOLTZ breaks it down to the lowest common denominator.

STOLTZ: THOSE SOLDIERS WON’T BE FAR AWAY. YOU THINK THEY’LL BE ABLE TO HELP US GET THESE “DAMN ROCKS” OUT?
