PAGE EIGHTEEN (Four Panels). Page Summary: NICK and STOLTZ also stumble upon BILLY.

Panel 1. Wide Shot. NICK examines the map before him, aghast. STOLTZ is somewhere else, stumbling upon more clues to their whereabouts.

NICK: WHAT DO YOU SUPPOSE HAPPENED HERE?

NICK: LOOKS LIKE THE CAPS MELTED, OR–

STOLTZ: NICK!

STOLTZ: I THINK YOU SHOULD LOOK AT THIS.

Panel 2. Zoom in. STOLTZ and NICK walk toward a nearby billboard. It displays multiple mushroom clouds upon several city skylines accompanied by the words “Never Forget.” Near the billboard are a few transients getting drunk.

NICK: WHOA–

STOLTZ: WELL, IT EXPLAINS A LOT.

STOLTZ: AMAZING. ANOTHER HISTORY ENTIRELY.

NICK: IF YOU SAY SO DOC…

Panel 3. Another Angle. NICK seriously questions STOLTZ’S reasoning. From off-panel, a voice has addressed them.

NICK: …I JUST SEE ANOTHER HISTORY THAT’S DESTROYED ITSELF.

NICK: SHIT.

BILLY (OP): NOT A PRETTY SIGHT, IZZIT?

Panel 4. Medium Shot. BILLY, who’s been sitting on the ground near NICK and STOLTZ, pipes up between the two heroes, offering them a beer. Behind them all, some of Billy’s homeless friends are partying with various things Billy has summoned. Some of them are wearing pearl necklaces, fancy jewelry, etc. Billy has a crown on over his hat,

BILLY: I’VE GOT THIS FUNNY FEELING YOU TWO AREN’T FROM AROUND HERE.

BILLY: *hic*

BILLY: BEER?
