PAGE NINETEEN (Five Panels). Page Summary: We see a fairly inebriated BILLY, quickly learning his newfound abilities, as he demonstrates by trying to impress NICK with trinkets, booze, drugs, (girls?), etc. that he conjures seemingly out of thin air. BILLY has been throwing a party for the rest of his homeless friends.

Panel 1. Zoom in on an inebriated BILLY, who proceeds to conjure up booze for the two newcomers, inviting them to join the party.

SFX (whiskey appearing):vvvvvvmmmmm

BILLY: UNLESSH, OF COURSE, YOU’RE A SCOTCH MAN.

BILLY: *hic*

Panel 2. Another Angle. Billy conjures up some food as well.

SFX (food appearing):vvvvvvvmmmmmm

BILLY: YOU GUYS HUNGRY?

NICK: IS THIS–?

STOLTZ: I’M AFRAID SO.

Panel 3. Medium Shot. NICK and STOLTZ discuss their apparent discovery of the third fragment while BILLY conjures up a joint.

STOLTZ: LOOK. SPONTANEOUS TRANSMUTATION.

NICK: ANALYSE LATER, DOC.

SFX (joint appearing):vvvvvvvmmmmmm

NICK: OH, MAN, THIS GUY’S A MESS.

Panel 4. Medium Shot. BILLY lights his joint as NICK and STOLTZ look on with disdain.

BILLY: HELL, YESHTERDAY…I DIDN’T HAVE A PENNY TO MY NAME.

BILLY: ffffffffffffFFFFFTT!

BILLY: ALL THAT’S CHANGED NOW…

BILLY: …THANKS TO MY MAGIC COIN.

Panel 5. Another Angle. BILLY continues to conjure up various recreational items out of thin air, including a blow-up doll.

SFX (BILLY conjuring):vvvvvvvmmmmm

BILLY: COME ON FELLAS…

BILLY: THE PARTY’S ON ME.

NICK (Burst): NOW, KNOCK THAT OFF!
