PAGE TWENTY-ONE (Five Panels). Page Summary: NICK and STOLTZ, both fairly exhausted, assist BILLY to the nearest hotel to sleep off his chemical-induced stupor. The name of the place is ironically the “Hotel California.” Make SPY (NAZI SOLDIER) gradually more obvious.

Panel 1. Medium Shot. NICK and STOLTZ attempt to help BILLY to his feet. BILLY is unable to stand under his own power. Somewhere in the distance we see a no-name HOTEL.

NICK: LOOK, YOU JUST NEED TO COME WITH US, UM–PAL.

BILLY: HEH, ‘FI CAN JUSH FIND M’ FEET…

Panel 2. Zoom out. NICK and STOLTZ assist BILLY down the sidewalk, heading towards the as-yet unidentified hotel. The SHADOWED FIGURE follows them in the background.

NICK: HOW ‘BOUT THAT HOTEL DOWN THE WAY?

STOLTZ: WOULDN’T WE NEED CURRENCY–?

BILLY: GOT IT COVERED.

Panel 3. Another Angle. As the trio near the hotel, BILLY conjures up money for their hotel stay.

SFX (BILLY making $):vvvvvmmmmmm

BILLY: *hic*

NICK: SWEET.

Panel 4. Close on NICK, who looks up in shock at the marquis over the hotel.

NICK: I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU DOC, BUT I SURE COULD USE THE REST–

NICK: OH…

NICK: …YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

Panel 5. The Money Shot. NICK, BILLY, and STOLTZ are enveloped by the entrance to the “Hotel California.” NICK is face-in-hands in disgust as STOLTZ asks BILLY…

STOLTZ: WHAT’S YOUR NAME ANYWAY?

BILLY: BILLY. BILLY CAPRA.
