Page Summary: In a conversation between NICK and BILLY, we discover that NICK is actually in his old hometown. NICK, although suspicious at first, files it away as an odd coincidence. STOLTZ is not so quick to, but doesn’t make his thoughts known. The trio makes its way out into a new day.

Panel 1. Medium shot. Billy continues to explain his story to a suddenly shocked Nick.

BILLY: ANYWAY, I WAS LUCKY I STAYED HERE—

BILLY: –IN THE BUSTLING METROPOLIS OF BILLINGS.

BILLY: IF YOU CALL THAT–

NICK: WAITAMINUTE. DID YOU JUST SAY “BILLINGS??”

Panel 2. Another Angle. Nick looks around again, finally recognizing some of the town. Billy and Nick compare notes.

NICK: FUCKING BILLINGS?

NICK: THIS IS MY OLD HOMETOWN–

NICK: GOD, HOW DO YOU STAND IT?

BILLY: EH, YOU GET USED TO IT. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE REST OF THE PLANET IS CHAR-BROILED.

Panel 3. Zoom in. Nick and Billy muse to Stoltz about a seemingly odd coincidence.

BILLY: WOW, LOOK AT THAT, SOMETHING IN COMMON.

BILLY: PRETTY COOL, HUH, DOC?

STOLTZ: YES–

Panel 4. Closer on Stoltz, who is looking just a little suspicious.

STOLTZ: –QUITE.

Panel 5. Medium shot. An upbeat (and stoned) Billy leads Nick and Stoltz down the street.

BILLY: WELL, COME ON GUYS. LET’S GET OUT THERE.

Panel 6. Shot from behind. All in silhouette, as they walk into a seemingly brighter day.

BILLY: FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A WHILE, I ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO TODAY.
