Page Summary: Back to FROSCH’S TIMELINE, as he attempts to ensue in an average day. Here we see a glimpse into FROSCH’S station in life, as Chancellor of New England.
Panel 1. Wide Shot. Frosch’s female clerk, Evelyn, is reporting to a dismissive Frosh. They sit in his office, a very posh, English-influenced executive suite, adorned with a rustic leather sofa, European art, shelves of books (legal, literature, etc.), and a Union Jack. Very modern mixed with Victorian. Frosch is wearing his big bad shades and staring intently at the globe he stabbed at the end of issue #2. There is a huge window on (as?) one of the walls, showing the English-influence architecture of the grand city outside. The remaining walls also have three doors: one exit, one closet, and one to the conference room (of course you don’t have to include all these details in this first panel; I just wanted to give you a lay of the land).
CAP: ELSEWHEN…
EVELYN: …AND TAX REVENUES FROM THE NORTHEASTERN COLONIES ARE DOWN TWO POINT SIX PERCENT, THE VERMONT CHANCELLOR IS CALLING FOR MORE ENFORCEMENT FUNDING.
EVELYN: I DOUBT THE QUEEN WILL–
FROSCH: ENOUGH! ENOUGH WITH THE BLOODY QUEEN.
Panel 2. Another Angle. Frosch waves off his assistant as she rises to leave.
FROSCH: I’VE GROWN TIRED OF MOLLYCODDLING THE OLD TART.
FROSCH: THAT’S ALL FOR NOW. YOU ARE RELIEVED.
Panel 3. Medium Shot. Frosch’s clerk looks back as she reaches the door.
Panel 4. Same Angle. Evelyn timidly questions her boss.
EVELYN: SIR…
EVELYN: IS EVERYTHING QUITE ALRIGHT?
FROSCH: YES, FINE, EVELYN. THAT WILL BE ALL.
Panel 5. Another Angle. Frosch adjusts his shades as he continues to be badgered by his assistant.
CLERK: SIR, MAY I ASK WHY YOU’RE WEARING SUNGLASSES TODAY. IS THERE SOMETHINGâ€â€
FROSCH: NOT THAT IT’S ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS, BUT I HAVE AN INFECTION. MY EYES ARE JUST A BIT LIGHT SENSITIVE TODAY.
Panel 6. Close on an angered Frosch, half of his face, his good eye looking over his sunglasses in scorn.
