To the uninformed.

In the Macross saga Lt. Sammie Porter was part of Captain Gloval's bridge crew. He was a warm 'Father figure' type who tolerated Sammie's somewhat insubordinate outbursts.

But in the second installment of Robotech we are introduced to Commander Anatole Leonard who was the proverbial 'Hard-Ass' and he had absolute ZERO tolerance for any shenanigans.
