Comic 32: Valentines Card

on

This was originally for the DD Valentines Non-test, but I didn't manage to finish it on time, so I thought I'd just put it up here.

The card was supposed to represent someone sitting in front of his computer and wanking to porn on valentines day. Hence the play on the word "Lovely", the girl inside the heart symbolising how she's just a fantasy, and the dripping black ink symbolising lust.

I'm not too happy with this one. The girl looks nowhere near slutty enough. I definately need more practice on that.

Responses:

Glass: Glad you liked it

Tantz Aerine: Thanks, I had a feeling you'd like it

Dracco: Thanks, for some reason, every kid seems to have that urge to kill ants

Freakeh: That's a really nice interpretation, thanks. I really like the idea of us overcomplicating things till the community is destroyed. My interpretation of the money, was more like the ants gather rocks for the cummunity because it's their duty, while the money works like the rocks, we gather it because of our greed, and not our sense of duty towards the community. Perhaps that will lead to our demise? I dunno.

Slimredninja: Your comment got me to search up Aphids on Wikipedia, thanks for getting me to broaden my general knowledge

Jun Ian: NOO!! Anything but that video!! Shit! Fuck! And other such explicitives!!

Rydel6: Interesting, war never really came to mind when I did the strip. I see where you're coming from though, especially with the "over specialisation breeds weakness" bit.

Eyesoftheblack: Thanks

Conned: Yeah, that was definately one of the themes I was thinking about when I was thinking up the strip. Also congrats on the peace treaty between you and layering

PhantomPenguin: Interesting, whenever the word military and posters come together in my head, all i think of is "UNCLE SAM WANT'S YOU!"

Subcultured: Thanks
