Prismacolor! That was the brand name of the marker I started out using for Random Thoughts. Although looking at these comic pages again, I highly doubt I only used Prismacolor. The fine lines has to be from a micron or this Japanese cat brand I used to use. (Years of using it has rubbed off the markings from the side but its logo is a face of a cat and it's something Neko…it's long and pale blue.)

The cat girl's name is Kittygirl. All three main characters have names but they weren't thought of until later on in the comic. There wasn't a particular need since most of the characters didn't really mention each other's names. Plus Kittygirl was suppose to represent me but the character later evolved so much that I took another character as a representation of me (who in turn, also evolved but another story, another day. ^^;;;)

I think the concept of Kittygirl was the character I put the most thought into. She was the main character and it didn't change much with the addition of the other characters later on. I wanted the main character to be memorable and have physical attributes that would make her stand out.

So I gave her cat ears, braids, and darken hands that were the same shade as the ears. The cat ears in particular have dual purposes: not only did it make her stand out but it was a great device for exaggerated emotions.

Some people have asked me if the cat ears are real or not. While I do have an answer for that, I perfer for it to remain a mystery~

And yes, they do charge outrageous prices in university for what amounts to cafeteria food. :S
