[13] Spiff-tastic Facts (That No One Really Cares About)

This was a comic I submitted to the fine art journal back in my first year of university. They actually accepted it although whether anyone knew what was going on with the comic, I'm not sure.

During my first year of university art class, there were people who didn't know how to mix the basic colours. And I think there were people who wondered about if they could mix up primary colours to use. (As in create blue paint out of other colours.)

This isn't Durian's first appearance but it's the first time his name was mentioned. At the time, I figured the name sounded nice and it fits him. Anyone who listens to the Gigcast knows though that I can't pronounce anything properly which was the case for Durian. I didn't pronounce "durian" properly.

Durian is based on two male friends of mine but neither of them really resemble Durian personality-wise. Durian was meant to be the partner in crime kind of thing, the best friend, the person to bounce the joke off.

Durian got mistaken for a girl when he first appeared on RT and rather then changing how he looked, I just ran with that.

All three names for the main characters in RT aren't really their actual names. I always thought of them as more of nicknames they have for each other. Because honestly, what parent would be cruel enough to name their child after a stinky fruit? :S

And yes, I really liked Orlando Bloom at the time. And after a particularly hot scene in Troy, I find it hard not to. :D
