Why don't you update more often?
I started this in highschool, outgrew it and don't really like it anymore. Really I should just stop. But it's close enough to end that every now and again I add another page. I should really just stop.
Is this an homage to/a rip off of Priscilla Queen of the Desert?
What? No. I just thought it would be funny to have a character literally run from his problems. And it's set in Australia because I live here. Yes, they're both gay roadtrip stories set in the same country, but that's really where the similarities end.
Why is this drawn in biro? But then some pages have colour? It's weird.
It just started as a silly comic for my friends and biro was quick and easy. It's not like I made this with the thought that it was professional in any way. My aim was never to publish this. It was just for fun.
Sometimes there is colour for emotion, like when Rasvaar and Troy first kiss. Sometimes it's for comedic effect, like when he wants to hide and points out the fact that he's bright orange. Sometimes I just did some pages in colour because I felt like it.
This is so cheesy. And over the top. Why?
Because I was fourteen or fifteen when I started this. I had little by way of life experience and this was a reflection of stories/comics/TV shows that I liked. And now when I add the occasional page, I'm still sticking to the same story outline I made back then.
Also, I was a very surly teen who didn't get out much. It's not surprising that I created very silly world to counteract that.
This is terrible.
