Wise words?

Please don't get me wrong… I am NOT saying that any of these people are not wise… as I have a great deal of respect for all of them.
but, you might agree that all just might not be the greatest quotes that they have.

*the world economy is going to hell in a hand bag. Knowing that the US has problems, come on $700 billion?!?!?!? so, not to get in the same crisis (inevitable to say the least) Japan's prime minister Aso, has had the government shove 3 trillion yen (today's exchange rate is around 103 yen to one dollar) in to the economy the last 4 days… thats not including the 170 trillion that was force fed into it the whole month of September.
My thoughts are… if the government has this much money to put into the economy, why are Japanese taxes one of the highest on the planet, and getting higher? (I know, that's why they have all that money) Couldn't it be spent better else where?

Hiragana and katakana are alphabets, with hiragana used for Japanese words and katakana for those Engrish words. Kanji are characters borrowed from Chinese. Japanese use them to write most nouns and verb stems and such. Technically you don't need them to write; you could just write in Hiragana and Katakana, but since Kanji carry specific meanings, using them makes the meaning clearer and the text easier to read (provided, of course, that the people know the kanji you're using). And Corey explained the Romaji. Hope this clears things up.

Amy (?_?) yes it is!!!
EvilCowSlayer Thanks again for the explanation… hats off to you!!!

Gabe Romanji (the one using English alphabet)?!?!?! The sounds are the same as Spanish would be…
matt Here too….. but when in the middle of typing in Japanese, it is a select key…
Dawn Not really the same as language, as most Kanji symbols have two or more meanings, and the same amount of different sounds… the 1st symbol in my wife's last name (Ogasawara) the "O" can be read "O" or "Ko"… yes now you are more confused!
