I woke up Monday morning to a sight… very thin layer of frost or snow… I ran outside to defrost the car for my wife and to my wondrous eyes… volcanic ash.
There was a volcanic eruption 120 km (80 or so miles) away in Nagano Sunday night. And the ash covered everything here in west Tokyo…..
I found this page that talks about it some….
But, I'm from New York…. when I lived in Florida, I did not miss the snow, now that I'm here in Tokyo, where it gets very cold, cold enough for snow, I miss it. So, when ever it does snow here I cherish it!
