Strip 59 - Seriously Heavy

This strip is sort of based on conversations I have with people when you try to explain metal. All most people know is the imagery, which can be dark and/or silly. Truth be told, there are some amazingly talented, creative musicians. Bands like Opeth get overlooked because of the "cookie monster" vocals. While pop music is mostly formulaic and withough artisitic merit, there are tons of metal bands thinking outside the box and making some amazing art. Of course ther are some crappy bands just playing fast and screaming about satan as well.

I have been on a writing binge of late. Assuming I do not get another idea between now and then I have the next 35 strips scripted and thumbnailed and that does not include other strips that I have not figured out where to run. All told I probably have 60 future strips plotted and scripted. Needless to say, I have a general idea where this thing is going.

I will say it seems that it will have three general themes: dating, the band and a new job. That's right, Billy will be getting a new job very soon and it will open up a whole new direction, as well as four new characters.
