Bootleg: Rough Draft

So in keeping with the music theme, I decided anytime I was going to post sketches or non-strip art I'd deem them "Bootlegs". You know, an unofficial release.

I thought some of you might enjoy this one. I first started thinking about a webcomic in the winter of 2005. I hadn't done a ton of drawing in a few years, just sketched and doodles. This was my first attempt to draw the cast. The strip is actually loosely based on a sitcom pilot I wrote, so I had a basic idea of the characters. At the time Fletcher (who did not have a name) was more conservative in appearance. It wasn't until after I actually started drawing the strip that he became sort of 'Rockabilly'

This particular drawing was done when I was in training for a tutoring gig I had a year ago. I was supposed to be paying attention to a presentation, but obviously was somewhat preoccupied.
