SAW 2008: Having a minor part here in panel 3 are Swanson and Bruno Dog, possibly my favourite part of the Sensational 7. They were created by my brother's friend Jon many years ago. Their contribution is that they are "detectives" which sounds like a really odd "power." I used them kind of sparingly here but they had a much bigger part in the following two S7 adventures. As they didn't get much play here I didn't really keep their design consistent, especially when it came to Bruno Dog. Also, Eric and I had a long-running disagreement on whether Bruno Dog was capable of speech. Eventually we compromised and decided he could, but didn't have much to say.

Panel 5 contains one of numerous references throughout RN Comics to Manos, Hands of Fate, which you'll either get and not think is funny, or not get at all. either way.
