Journey into the Sewer #1 Page 6

SAW 2008: Later issues paint Rodent as a solitary loner who doesn't socialize much, making the first panel of this page a bit puzzling, but it's a decent gag. and it kinda explains why Rodent wanted Sewerman gone… right?

Ahem.

Being that we didn't outline page-and-panel breakdowns in our scripts, just wrote the dialogue and action (and then relied on my underdeveloped art muscles to pace the story - bold move,) we get a scene change after one panel on the page, which sometimes works, but something you'll see less when we start doing full scripts in issue #4. It also explains the often-bizarre panel layouts, the weirdest of which you'll see later in this issue.

The bulk of this page's dialogue, as in the scene between Raging Skinhead and the mysterious Mr. Nazzi, is recycled (like most of the first two issues) from an attempted MSPaint animation of the Sewerman story, which predates this comic y about a year. Eric played Sewerman, I played virtually everyone else.

The recycling of this dialogue left in a lot of jokes that any revising would have weeded out, like a puzzling non-sequiter reference to "The Jedi" that means nothing and isn't acknowledged in dialogue. Great writing guys. Hrmp.

At least the characters don't yell at each other anymore.
