SAW 2008: As awkward as everything about our early issues is, there are certain clues on this page (and elsewhere) that we weren't going to be terrible forever, such as "…in blood!!" although Sewerman's "Hark" line was awkward. These guys were referred to in the script as "Street Toughs" and for whatever reason (probably it just amused me at the time,) they were drawn wearing multi-coloured windbreakers. Go figure.

Another weird side-gag has me sticking Joel and the 'Bots from MST3k in panel 3.
