SAW 2008: It never occurred to me, evidently, that people would feel compelled to read dialogue I didn't put much thought into and assumed that, because it contained funny words, was funny.

Although the collaboration has always been pretty tight, Eric has always considered himself the "plotmaster" and I have been considered the "wordsmith." At the time, he was scrawling all the plots out on lined paper like a maniac, and there was a manic brilliance to some of them, and it was my job to sort them out and pace them and mark them with good, sharp dialogue.

The fact is, especially for issue #3, neither of us really kept up our end of the bargain.
