Not a huge spoiler here and I'll probably have a character explain it so it's canon, but normal humans can't see magic like it's drawn here. What a normal human would see is Felicity raising her hand and then an explosive would go off. Wizards would see what I'm depicting in the image.

The fact that Lauren can see it is because she's sensitive to magic. That doesn't mean she can use magic, but she can see it like a wizard can. Having magic sensitive normal people makes it harder for them to use magic around normal people unless the wizards tell magic sensitive about magic. I don't know if Lauren knows about magic or not at this point, but she might have seen some questionable things around the Stone house.
