So, I've been using my high school years as a basis for Felicity's and I did go to high school a couple of years after Columbine and I don't remember things being on edge after that, but our security did go up. I do remember 9/11 happening my junior year and THAT sure made people on edge. I don't know, I just wanted to give a frame of reference here for Felicity's classmates to react to screaming.
