Ch4: Pg13: Felicity's Nightmare

Felicity's supposed to be traumatized by what she's been through, but given other heroes go through stuff like this on a consistent basis, it feels like she's just being sensitive. Part of me wants to throw even worse at her, but you have to take into consideration: most normal people wouldn't go through things protagonists go through so unscathed. The main character doesn't deal with trauma…unless it's more conventional trauma like sexual assault, death of a loved one, or war. Stuff like someone trying to take over your body with deadly magic…that's nothing.

But that's the point. Felicity is just a normal teenage girl (with magic) being thrown through the ringer. She's just not built for it. I have to keep reminding myself that since most other protagonists do make this stuff seem like ever day stuff.
