After characters like Harry Potter, Harry Dresden, Peter Parker, Luke Skywalker, or Rey…I didn't want Felicity to be an orphan, so I can't imagine she would be as gung-ho about sticking around for her kid as they would be. Not that she's completely oblivious to it, I just think it would take her a bit longer to think about holding on for Allison than it would the above mentioned characters. Although, Denise being gone for a good chunk of her years as a child is probably what made her decide as quickly as she did.
