I hope it comes across to people that Ashley's psionic trickery is altering the trajectory of the plasma flare thingies fired by the guard. Hopefully its obvious enough.

At least there's lots of pretty effect bits in this one. Its the heaviest page yet in terms of bitmaps. Most of the stuff is done in vector form, but certain effects such as smoke and explosions can't be done very well with vectors, so I put transparent .PNG files done in Photoshop into the page for those bits. Much more in the way of explosions and other sparkly things to come, that's for sure.
