Author notes
This one met with quite a bit of fanfare in the office when it ran in the Gateway in 2005. Dark comedy definitely got over with the staff that year. Also of interest is that Walt was the first character be named in print. Actually, come to think of it, very few of the characters have actually been named in the Rules For Criminal Success series. Dirk the Head and Squidgy are both named as part of the narration, and Charlie No-Aim is referred to as Charlie at one point, but I think that's it. Weird. Relatedly, the Rent-A-Thug main site just hit 50 pages! . You should go check it out if you haven't. Or if you have, for that matter. Thanks for reading, see you next week!
