This is a quite unique page for several reasons. The first you’ll notice is that I’ve raised again the realism tone in some panels, as I did in the sequence where the on-board computer shifted into the new form. This time I was only to up the realism level for the second panel, but I got carried away and decided to go on with the next three. I hope it isn’t too disruptive. It’s been extremely fun to draw, though. Drawing the characters in unusual ways is both refreshing and a nice little challenge.

This is also the page where we finally get to know who was behind all the troubles found on the “prelude” volume (Volume 0). It was this guy all the time, for both the demolition bot and the gladiator. You can see him here (bottom panels, worker) and here (first panel, waiter). That said, if you readed the whole archive in the main site you guessed this already, as the spiders he uses are the ones Ace (and Leo later) found on the hacked robots.

The real challenge, though, has been choosing what information is in and what’s out (out by now, at least) in this page. The dialogs have been rewritten several times and, while I’m not totally satisfied (I never am, anyway) I think it gets the job done and the flow isn’t catastrophic.
