Today I introduce a new character into the Robot Friday family. Harley D. Og is his official name, though I didn't use it in the strip. As I was working on this strip I came up with something really good to use in the blog as well, but as I am prone to do, I completely forgot what I wanted to blog about. I am likely to never remember to be honest, old age and all that :)

Oh, maybe this was it, today I played around with adding some dot patterns (or halftones) into the character. I want to begin using more of this kind of thing in all the characters to help make them more defined and interesting looking. I am also continuing my experiments with backgrounds as well. I want to get a sort of old school cartoon look, but not get too detailed so they kill the characters. I like the past few days' backgrounds, but today may be borderline too much. What do ya'll think?

At any rate, I really dug creating this new character and drawing today's strip. Thanks for checking it out and hanging in there with me. Vote on the upper right on TWC for the comic and cya wednesday :)
