Well, fellow readers…as much as I would love to post every day, I find my ability (and more importantly time constraints) force me to a more sustainable schedule of M-W-F. Sorry. But it was fun while it lasted, eh?
Anyway. In this page we say 'Hello' to Officer Joe Gunther–who Jess apparently knows like she knows everyone else in Brattleboro– however Officer Joe is a fixture here, albeit an imaginary one, and he is not my creation. These last pages will be an artistic tribute to another Brattleboro Legend, the Bestselling Novelist Archer Mayor who lives in Bellows Falls these days (12 miles north of Bratt) and writes a wonderful (and bestselling–did I say that) mystery series that takes place in and around Brattleboro. It stars the inimitable Officer Joe Gunther as a detective par excellence. It also tends to star Brattleboro–right down to correct street names and history and everything. It is pretty cool to read about crimes taking place on your own street corner in a fictional book! So Archer–this issue is for you!
And yes, Brattleboro is quite the little town–and the girls…to cry for…
