Issue Eight page 13--Making a Call...

Here you get to see a bit of HILDA in action. You are familiar with the waspbots from previous issues. I had meant to use those when doing this page…but somehow, when I switched to this new computer last winter…that particular file got misplaced and lost…not sure how. I was pretty peeved at first because I spent quite a long time working on it–ten hours in fact. But you know what they say–the second one is always better. They are so right. Everything I learned the first time I snapped into place immediately…the things I hated about the first edition waspbots…I had fixes for, already in my mind. I built the bots in modules…which left me unafraid to experiment with textures and shapes…and voila! You see version two…a much more realistic waspbot! I am still not happy with the mouthparts, but I'll think on those and do a fix when I get a good plan…
In the meantime…you all get a close-up view of how Rebekah has put nano/quantum technology to use! Oh yeah…the waspbots–they are waaaaaayyyy more useful than simply as SPAAD communicators…wait and see!!!

Also, a Site design note…I have modified the comic page set up a lot. It uses graphics files which are slow to load a bit…If any of you readers out there are on dial-up…or have slow internet connections and the format change cheeses you off…let me know, okay. Making things here comfortable and useable for you guys is my main concern. If you want to stop reading Robot Wars because it loads too slow…I'll change it all back! Talk to me!
