#72 - Waiting For Jace

A bit of a change of tone, but I think that Go-Go needs a lot more variety in tone, really.

Several people have pointed out to me that while I talk about Go-Go as if it were B&W, it's actually done in about ten shades of grey. And that's totally true. The fact is, I originally planned to do this all in stark B&W, because I just find that to be a lot of fun. I guess I added the grey for two reasons. Fro one thing, adding grey makes drawing faster, and I can barely meet my daily deadlines as it is!

Also, grey tends to wash the images out a bit. Rocketship A Go-Go draws strongly on the imagery of 50s and 60s sci-fi, and I just tend to imagine these stories in the ame slightly washes out greys of an old atmoic horror movie. I've been planning to do a few speical episodes in color, for the fun of it, and I supect those will be done in the slightly garish colors of early sci-fi!

Next: Meanwhile, back at Police HQ…
