The "comic strip" format imposes a lot of limitations on what I can show to tell the story. I can only put so much into a strip. At a rate of one strip a day, every detail I linger over slows down the forward pace of the story. As it happens, dealing with this every day is great fun, so I'm not complaining.

But I do worry sometimes - I often wonder if I'm showing enough "establishing shots" - the size and shape of the daily strip doesn't really encourage you to draw a lot of them. But without establishing shots, the story can lose context, and it can be hard to tell where everyone is standing, or who is talking to who.

I have no insights on how to get this right. Not yet. But I think about it a lot as I lay out these strips.
