9 - James Runs A Boss Battle

Alright, alright, so this one's over-exaggerated. James has, in the past, majorly upped the power of boss enemies to make things more challenging for his players. Sometimes a little too high. Mind you, the players were boosted up past the normal quite a bit from the start, so he was trying to give them something to fight that'd be on-par with them.

James actually came up with at least half of what's in the speech bubble, including the "I'm going easy on you" remark. =3

He also has a shield that's immune to any and all attacks called +1 more than you can ever say.

That sounds like a James-run boss battle!

Right, the last time I heard a "I'm going easy on you" we fought a warlock who worshipped the goddess of death, pain and torture. Turned out the dude was seventeen levels above us. Went in with A paladin, a two mages, two sword mages and a dragon-spawn. Our mage was killed with a frikkin' counterblast spell with my character manage to stop before the spell was completed, the dampire sword-mage slaughtered shortly afterward, the dragon-spawn was mind controlled and then zombiefied and used against us, our second mage managed to barely survive but she too was killed. Leaving my little gensai sword mage against this guy. I managed to do one more roll of damage, while blind, and got this dude to just one frikkin' hp. ONE HP! then he killed me. D:

We weren't told of this bad guys' level til after the fight. >>
Sorry, thought i'd share my experiences. ;P
