13 - The Beauty of Characters

Styx decides, one more time, she's going to try and strike a deal with James, but this time with a more normal expression than her earlier cutesy look. James is finally prepared for his evening visitors with a little surprise.

This is the first appearance of Fluffy, whose species gets revealed in the next page of the comic. Fluffy is your basic carnivorous creature, but has quite an intellect, and yet still acts mostly as James' pet.

I actually turned a random monster into the Fluffy character for James, though his wife has given us a lot of the ideas for humor involving Fluffy.

    Since you never see the top of his head, maybe Fluffy is more kin to Denver the Last Dinosaur, only with intelligence and a bad case of the munchies.
