Please. Enlighten me. How will arming MORE people with guns solve anything?

I write this in response to one of the most fucking stupid editorials I've ever had the misfortune to read. It advocated, in response to our rising problem of armed robbery, that everyone on our campus should carry a concealed handgun.

Mmm hmm. Like shooting college students in a barrel.

Ah, but wait! I have a solution! Gun control! Strict, heavily enforced, gun control.

What's more logical? Letting the people who are protecting the common good carry the best weapons, or letting any retard that can pull a trigger access them?

Before you answer, no, the "people protecting the common good" does not refer to idiots who think the 2nd amendment guarantees their right to gun ownership.
