Just what does it take to be, as everyone keeps saying, successful? Huh? Tell me! With a straight face, tell me the "American Dream" is a feasible path for people to follow in life, and I'll tell you you're bullshitting. These days, you've got to hit the right market at the right time, a feat of strength that makes the lottery look easy.

Which leads me to the main point: you don't need to be rich to be successful. You just need to have enough money to pay for food, a residence of some kind, and clothing. Anyone who can argue that it takes more than that is delving into "wants" and not "needs," and yes, there is a difference. Paying for electricity is a need; food needs to be kept refrigerated. Paying for your cellphones and game systems? Wants; you don't need those.

You don't need a car; take public transportation or get a bike and a room close to where you work. You don't need that SUV, you don't need that home entertainment system, you don't need those spinning rims, you don't need that cute puppy.

Extravagances! And yet people bitch when they can't have them. Grow the fuck up you overprivileged dimwits.
