Fiction, No?

It's always bothered me when books proclaim they are non-fiction when clearly they were not. The Da Vinci Code is one of those books: it is scientifically horrible, and, coming from an artist's perspective, absolutely false. I don't doubt that it makes for great entertainment, but I do tend to get a bit annoyed at the presumptuousness.

Which leads me to the Bible, which everyone claims, and it also claims in its own pages, it is not fiction but a depiction of reality. It's a nice contrast: an obviously fake book made to be entertainment–The Da Vinci Code–and a book that is obviously fake and made to be entertainment–the Bible.

Wait.
