Military Muslims

Now, I don't like any supernatural religion–big surprise, right?–but I'm not going to be stupid and bigoted enough to not allow those that believe in sky daddies or fairies or the voices in trees, access to what everyone else has rights to, such as food, care, and admittance into the military to serve the country they respect and wish to defend.

Then along comes the amazing Bryan Fischer, who argues that

It it is time, I suggest, to stop the practice of allowing Muslims to serve in the U.S. military. The reason is simple: the more devout a Muslim is, the more of a threat he is to national security. Devout Muslims, who accept the teachings of the Prophet as divinely inspired, believe it is their duty to kill infidels. Yesterday's massacre is living proof. And yesterday's incident is not the first fragging incident involving a Muslim taking out his fellow U.S. soldiers.

Amazingly thoughtless denial of our Constitutional rights. And a hint of irony, because just as devout Muslims are batshit crazy when it comes to the divinity of the Koran, so too do devout Christians display many characteristics of terrorists that we all shunt to Islamic fundamentalists. Let's not also forget the Crusades, the Inquisition.

Yes, Christians too have their share of deplorable violence performed in the name of their god, and have been doing so for hundreds of years. Yet, I don't see Fischer clamoring for their removal from the military.

Oh yes, that's right: this is a Christian country, and we're just denying that point.
