What annoys me more than anything is Bible-thumpers calling for the dehumanization of gays. We've witnessed this stance recently from the Catholic Church, among others, and they rationalize their bigotry by quoting the Bible, which is already a great source for morals (see Ted Haggard).

It is justified by pointing to the big man in the sky, watching us each hour of each day, and say that "he doesn't want that"; when this approach is called on account of being ludicrous, they resort to spouting that it would bring about the fall of human civilization as we know it.

All for allowing gays to do as they please, like straight folk have been doing since our species arose in Africa, and like all social animals have been doing.

The simple fact that social animals, like dolphins, apes, and monkeys, participate in social activities that pretty much equate to sex with the same gender, and they're still around procreating and surviving, should be enough to discredit such an outrageous slippery slope.
