Conspiracy theories are largely assemblages of similar but disparate facts that for some reason make sense if you don't give them much thought.

For instance, chemtrails, which some believe to be sinister, poisonous contrails, manufactured for the purpose of, well, several things, like sickening the unsuspecting populace, or reflecting sunlight back to reduce global warming.

I'm not much of a climate scientist, nor do I know anything of upper-atmosphere interactions between chemicals, but, for sure, the conspiracy theorists who blather on about chemtrails don't strike me as the people who would.

It's about intellectual honesty. Are you going to hold off judgment until all the evidence is in, or are you going to immediately come to an absurd conclusion because it "feels right".

That's called a delusion, people.
