Oh Darn! You guys figured it out darn! Yeah she's deaf… What gave it away… The name of the chapter? The fact that they are signing in the beach picture? The story were you see the stuffed animals signing? Or just the fact that she completly ignored Lynette… ah well…
Oh bye the way quilt is almost done ^^
She isn't signing out the entire sentance just the I'm deaf part. I was thinking out drawing the entire sentance but my friend found it confusing to have one picture where she was signing two things at once (like I did earlier) let alone you couldn't tell what she signed first. And sense it would take way too long and way too many extra pages to draw out each word she signed individually and the expressions that go with it I just simplafied it. ^^; but I'll tell you the specific words they are usinging in every page in the authors comment.
Fact: Don't expect a deaf person to verbalise or lip read lips it's impolite! You don't know how long they've been deaf for one and some deaf people refuse to learn verbalising and lip reading and who are we to expect them to when hearing people don't take the time to learn sign launguage.
Sign Language myth:Sign language is not universal Infact American Sign Language (ASL) & English Sign Language (ESL) Are two different Sign languages that don't even use the same finger spelling alphabet. We use the french finger spelling alphabet
