Ignorant King Duncan series no.2 "In the Garden"
Conned onI had a lot of trouble painting this. So much effort.
In this piece Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have killed King Duncan in his garden. The idea of this piece was to show the character's feelings at this time in the play and also a glimpse of what Macbeth believed would happen (portrayed by the classic baby angel).
So ofcourse, Lady Macbeth is portrayed as the domiment figure here; Self assured and black hearted just like she prayed to the dark gods would be like. No longer a women (motherl feeling wise) but like a man.
Macbeth, on the other hand, is in pieces already. Guilt has hit it's mark.
The angle came from the passage where macbeth describes how the angle of pity would make sure everybody knew what he had done because King Duncan had been a good king.
Layout:
Viewer is looking from behind a bush of Poison Ivy. That adds to the suspence etc etc King Duncan is also half hidden in the bushes.
The Macbeths are already wearing Royal garments, so you see that they're feeling guilty but welcome the new position.
Problems:
I wanted the sky to be as crazy as the first picture but this took some time because the colours don't work as well as blue does.
Also the faces are extremely small! I had to master the smallest brush and put as much detail as I could on them :D Turned out well so I'm very proud of them *sniff*
The garden took me a while, I think I over did it on the flowers though heh :P
Annnnd the perspective is actually supposed to be wrong, this is so you can see duncan on the floor.
Enjoy!
P.S
Go back to the previous pages, I've finally got hold of my pieces so I took better pictures of them. Finer and better quality!
