When I decided to make Stan a tailor, I thought he'd be making a lot of speeches in defence of super hero costumes in general and of Boo's, in particular. In the early drafts of the script, he did, in fact, have several lines which touched on this subject but, in the end, they were nearly all cut.

Panel 1 on this page is about all that remains of those discussions. I kept this particular exchange because it boils the whole debate down to one factor. Forget the practicalities and all the other "logical" arguments. The real issue is, given the personality of any given hero, would they actually want to wear the costume in question? In Boo's case, I was pretty sure the little minx would love the outfit we designed for her!
