If you have a comic I usually comment on, I apologise for not having been around quite so regularly just lately. I've mentioned before that I've had some family issues taking up a lot of my time in recent weeks. Without going into too much detail, I can now tell you that my father died this weekend.

I know many of you consider Stanley Miller to be one of the most sympathetic characters in Shades. If I tell you that much of Stan's character is based on my father's, you will - I hope - have some idea of how much affection and admiration I have for him, and just how much he will be missed.
