EDIT: D'oh! It seems DD's dreaded bug has eaten my layout for a second time! I'm in the middle of rebuilding it (again!) but, if things are missing or just look a little screwy for a while, please be patient with me!

Now … depending on which version of the Arthurian legends you read, Merlin was actually imprisoned either in rock or in a tree by Morgana who, in turn, is variously described as either his lover (a "Lady of the Lake") or Arthur's sister. Having him trapped in a sword is just my own twist on that particular part of the myth!
