You may remember Stan quoting Doug's "Keep it simple!" line in Chapter 4. (Well, if you have a photographic memory, you might!) It's not especially profound but that's kind of the point. Get the job done!

Doug first heard the voices of his dead comrades way back in Chapter 5. On that page Arkdelta (no longer a Shades-reader?) asked if Doug would always be able to communicate with them. Well, at that stage, even I didn't know the answer - they'd already been in and out of the script several times! By the time Nickel was ready to start the artwork for this chapter, however, I'd decided that reintroducing the voices here would be an appropriate way of indicating that Doug was fully reconciled with his past. So, yeah - they're back!
