As you know, this story was originally written for a script-writing contest. As with all contests, the conditions of entry included a number of "must-have" features. The main two were that the heroine had to be able to shoot fire from her hands, and that she had to have a flying car. I have no idea why they thought those two things might be linked, but here's where we comply with Condition 2!
