This page is somewhat special for me because the date marks something like 2 years since I started to work on Shaman Quest.

The character of Cyrus was the first one to be created somewhat around this days a couple of years ago, at least his apperance and design. I just keeped drawing this character that looked strong but not to heavy, somewhat inspired in the Saint Seiya anime. Few days later, the character of Eakis was created when I saw this stuffed dragon like creature on the DAZ3D site.

Their first character traits were created a few months later, during a Creative Writing class.

Our teacher gave every one of us a story, written until a point before the middle, and gave us the task of finnish it. Mine was this very lovely story about a princess that refused to marry an arrogant prince and decided to run away with some common girl that she felt in love with. The story that Eakis is telling at the beginning of the page.

I decided to use that story and that exercise as the beginning of Cyrus's adventures and it was the base of most of the traits that he still have until today.

While my teacher wasn't too thrilled by my idea of add a cynical bounty-hunter in a way more romantic and lighter toned story, she seemed pleased with the overall result.

Have to admit that I never knew the name of the author that writed that story, since it was unsigned. However he/she is, I'm very thankful for the help that he or she gave me…

So, to some extent, today is Cyrus birthday!!!

Once more I want to thank all of you for the support that you keep giving to the story. While my main drive is to tell this comic for the sake of the pleasure that it give me, the fact that you enjoy it is something that fills me with pride.
