"One of the greatest advances in the science of brain study was the development of portable neuro-scanners.

The device consisted in several magnetic nanochips injected into a special lens made of synthetic hyperconductive ruby.

The ruby helps to focalize the magnetic signals giving a much better resolution in the reading of different neural patterns.

Unfortunately, the ruby based neuro-scanner fell in desuse when the new nano-bot technology made possible the reading of certain brainwaves that where to strong for the scanner to handle."
